McGovern Physical Therapy Associates (MPTA), the personal care professionals, is a multi-specialty, physical therapist-owned, outpatient physical therapy practice. Voted “Best PT Practice 2004” by ADVANCE for Directors in Rehabilitation magazine, their clinicians offer personalized manual therapy and exercise expertise, including a variety of customized treatment options.

McGovern Physical Therapy Associates was founded by Kevin J. McGovern, PT, DPT, CSCS, in 2000. The first clinic opened on Wednesday, March 15, in Revere, MA with one staff therapist and one patient. It quickly grew, expanding with additional office space and staff. The second clinic opened in August of 2003 in Malden, MA. The third opened in February of 2005 and is located inside the Beverly Athletic Club, in Beverly, MA. MPTA currently employees nine therapists, has over 20 employees and has treated over 5500 patients.

The MPTA goal is to help patients recover from pain and return to the active lifestyles they enjoy. They recognize that everyone is unique, so they design customized treatment programs to meet each patient’s specific needs. It is this combination of clinical expertise, genuine caring and strong community reputation that sets them apart from their competition and makes them the rehabilitation choice for doctors and patients alike.

Lauren J. D’Addario
Vice President, Public Relations & Marketing, McGovern Physical Therapy Associates

Lauren D’Addario is responsible for all aspects of internal and external marketing, sales, public relations and strategic planning for MPTA. Lauren has been with MPTA for over four years.

She has worked in healthcare marketing, communications and public relations for over seven years. Before joining MPTA, Lauren held the position of Imaging Services Representative for The MRI Center. Prior to that, she held the position of Account Executive in Professional and Public Relations at Lowe Grob Health & Science, a marketing and communications agency that specialized in the biopharmaceutical, life sciences and medical device industries. Before that, Miss Siuda was the Associate of Public Affairs for the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Network.

Lauren graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a degree in Community Health Education and Nutrition, and Middlesex Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences.
