MCGOVERN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATES ANNOUNCES NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH FERNCROFT COUNTRY CLUB

March 12, 2007 – McGovern Physical Therapy Associates announces a new relationship with the Ferncroft County Club.
 
The Ferncroft County Club is located in Middleton, MA. It is a 287-acre, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. championship course, as well as a par three, 9-hole executive course with practice facilities and a fully serviced club facility. Under new ownership, it has recently undergone almost $1 million in renovations. Some improvements include a new irrigation system and new golf course maintenance equipment, as well as updates to the club's pool, and an extensive redesign of the "19th Hole" facility, which includes a restaurant and function space. The projects have revitalized a first class golf club and are restoring the County Club to its rightful place among Boston’s top private clubs.
 
One of the new services the private club will now be offering is the use of their brand new fitness facility. This new space contains cardiovascular equipment, as well as weights, weight machines and stretching areas. McGovern Physical Therapy Associates will run the training aspects of this new facility.
 
McGovern Physical Therapy Associates will be the on-site personal trainers and physical therapists. They will be doing one-on-one training sessions with members, as well as holding group sessions. They will be running FIT FOR GOLF sessions. FIT FOR GOLF is a comprehensive, golf-specific movement evaluation and conditioning program that increases flexibility, power, balance, core stability and strength. It also includes a custom-designed home exercise program made in conjunction with the Titleist Performance Institute. Also, as the season allows, they will be holding group FAST classes at the facility. FAST stands for Functional Athletic Sport Training. It is a medically-designed program based on movement science, innovation and imagination. It uses proven and measurable results to create your own custom, sport-specific program that fits your athletic need. The program is a fun, dynamic and safe way to achieve your fitness goals.
