MCGOVERN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATES CELEBRATES 7-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The ‘personal care professionals’ survive and prosper in a competitive health care environment
 
March 19, 2007 – On Wednesday, March 15, 2000, the first McGovern Physical Therapy Associates clinic opened in Revere, MA with one patient. Seven years, and over 5500 patients later, MPTA is still going strong.  
 
“I am extremely proud of my staff. Their hard work and dedication has helped make this company a true success,” says Kevin J. McGovern, PT, DPT, CSCS, president of McGovern Physical Therapy Associates. “I started McGovern Physical Therapy after working with a few other outpatient physical therapy companies. I believed in the philosophy of delivering personalized care to each patient. I have been lucky to find a group of people that share these feelings, and together we do just that.”
 
The first McGovern Physical Therapy Associates clinic opened at 385 Broadway, in the Citizen’s Bank building, in Revere. It quickly grew, expanding with additional office space and staff. Sean M. Flaherty, PT is the director of the site. Additional clinical staff includes: Erin Anderson, MSPT, Alyssa Klein, MPT, Sara Oldoni, PTA and Tricia Larson, PT.
 
The second McGovern Physical Therapy Associates clinic opened in August of 2003. It is located at 350 Main Street, in the Commerce Place building, in Malden, MA. Glenn R. D’Addario, MSPT is the clinical director and Nate Reed, DPT as a staff therapist.
 
The third McGovern Physical Therapy Associates facility opened in February of 2005. It is located inside the Beverly Athletic Club at 7 Reservoir Road in Beverly, MA. Kate E. Goldberg, DPT is the director of the site and Kevin J. McGovern, PT, DPT, CSCS is a treating therapist.
