MCGOVERN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATES ENHANCES PATIENT SERVICES WITH NEW TALENT AND PROMOTIONS

May 30, 2006 – McGovern Physical Therapy Associates, the personal care professionals, announces it has enhanced its resources by adding a new therapist to its team and by promoting another. Nathan M. Reed, DPT has joined the practice as a Staff Therapist and Kate E. Goldberg, MPT, DPT has been promoted from Staff Therapist to Clinical Director of the Beverly clinic.

“We welcome a new and talented individual, whom I am confident will increase our effectiveness as a full service physical therapy provider,” says Kevin J. McGovern, PT, DPT, CSCS, president of McGovern Physical Therapy Associates. “Plus, I am always happy to be able to promote a member of the MPTA family. I encourage both Nate and Kate with their continued professional growth here.”

Nathan M. Reed, DPT, will practice mainly in the Malden clinic. With the other Staff Therapists, Dr. Reed will be responsible for all therapeutic care including the evaluation and treatment of a varied community of patients. Nate joins the company as a recent graduate. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Sciences, his Master of Physical Therapy and his Doctor of Physical Therapy all from Ithaca College located in Ithaca, NY. Nate is originally from Pennsylvania, but is currently a resident of Cambridge, MA.

Kate E. Goldberg, MPT, DPT is now the Clinical Director of the Beverly office. Dr. Goldberg will be responsible for managing all aspects of clinical care and services, quality control, communications and finance for the Beverly clinic. Kate joined MPTA as a Staff Therapist in Revere over two years ago. Dr. Goldberg earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Miami and her Master of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from Nova Southeastern University located in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is originally from Beverly, MA, but is currently a resident of Danvers, MA.
