McGovern Physical Therpy Associates Wins National Award

November 29, 2004 - McGovern Physical Therapy Associates (MPTA), located in Revere, Malden and Beverly, MA, was voted “Best PT Practice 2004” by ADVANCE for Directors in Rehabilitation magazine.

The magazine holds an annual contest looking for the best outpatient physical therapy practice in the country. MPTA had to describe how their practice met certain criteria. The contest judged MPTA on customer service, practice growth, revenue growth and staff development. 

“I am extremely proud of my staff. They work very hard every day to set our practice apart from our competition. It is a great thing that their work has paid off with this unbelievable honor,” says Kevin J. McGovern, PT, CSCS, president of McGovern Physical Therapy Associates.

The winner was announced at the Private Practice Section, American Physical Therapy Association’s Annual Conference and Exposition, in Colorado Springs, CO, on November 5. MPTA won a $1000 cash award, an engraved plaque to display in the office, recognition at the award ceremony and a feature article in the ADVANCE for Directors in Rehabilitation’s November issue. Mr. McGovern, his wife Elizabeth and MPTA vice president of marketing & public relations, Lauren J. Siuda were in attendance.

McGovern Physical Therapy Associates is featured in the “Doing Business” section of the November 2004 issue. Covering managed care, regulatory developments and business aspects of private practice, “Doing Business” helps clinicians improve their private practices.
